The So called Valentine's Day
So, today is the day,
The so called Valentine’s Day.
Isn’t it just like any other day?
What’s so special about this day?
Surely I will be sidelined for this question,
But still I will wait for a suggestion.
Whether to shut up or jump in,
Can’t shut up since I don’t fit in.
So, you express your deepest love on this day,
What about the rest 364 days?
It’s just a wave of commercialism,
Which leads to increased consumerism.
Red roses, Chocolates, gifts and so on,
That’s where the money goes on and on.
For me its just another day,
May or may not know love one day.
So, the question still remains,
Like a dark cloud which never rains.
What’s so special about this day?
Why do people for this day?
The relevance and the country do not fit in,
Still the consumerism juggernaut keeps rolling.
Because today is the day,
The so called valentine’s day.
